Gammill Awarded Phi Kappa Phi Fellowship

Whitney Gammill

Whitney Gammill, a graduating senior biochemistry major at the University of Arkansas, has been awarded a prestigious $5,000 fellowship from Phi Kappa Phi. Gammill, from Maumelle, Arkansas, is a Bodenhamer Fellow and previously was awarded a Goldwater Scholarship. The Phi Kappa Phi Fellowship, one of 60 awarded nationally each year, is for students who will be entering graduate school in the fall. Gammill will be pursuing graduate research at Vanderbilt University.

Phi Kappa Phi is the oldest, largest and most selective all-discipline honor society. To qualify for election to membership, juniors must be in the top 7.5% of their class and seniors or grad students in the top 10%. Over one million members have been inducted since the founding of Phi Kappa Phi in 1897. Each year the society awards over $800,000 in Fellowships, Study Abroad grants, and other scholarship and award programs
