Jeannie Lee has a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Arkansas and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hendrix College. As a Rotary Scholar, she studied for one year at the Université de Poitiers in France. Her two interests in music and language converged into Musical Theatre at the University of Arkansas, where she has been actively involved in mainstage and summer theatre musicals since 1994.
Lee joined the UA Drama Dept. faculty in 2000 and has served as musical theatre class accompanist, rehearsal pianist, pit orchestra conductor and musical director for productions since then. In addition to her work in the drama department, she is a coach/accompanist for the UA Music Department, assisting in recitals and competitions, as well as past Opera Theatre productions.
Lee's community work extends to children's theatre and public school productions, as well as professional work with TheatreSquared, the area's newest regional theatre company.
