Additionally, the Educational Technology department offers a 2000-level course that introduces students to technology. ETEC 2001 has a lab component in which students learn, among other things, how to create PowerPoint presentations and basic Web sites.
On-Campus Training
UA Computing Services offers several "Short Courses"&emdash;usually two-hour sessions that provide an introduction to various software packages. They are free and some have prerequisites. The Union Bookstore offers software packages at reduced prices for students. They are full, working versions of the software but are far less expensive.
