Ross' Goose, Chen rossii.
This species has been identified on two occasions. A single individual was observed regularly on a farm pond near Fayetteville between December 12, 1973, and April 18, 1974. A bird banded in Canada in 1979 was found dead on about October 27, 1983, on a pond near Springdale.

Canada Goose, Branta canadensis.
September 28 to April 10+. Uncommon but regular transient and winter visitor, usually in small numbers. Domesticated and half-wild birds nest on several reservoirs and ponds in the region. A flock of 80+ birds is resident on Bull Shoals Lake in Boone County near the Lead Hill camping area.
