Common Tern, Sterna hirundo.
August 12 to September 22 and May 2-26. Very uncommon transient that is easily confused with Forster's Tern. Most reports involve fall migration. Five were seen at the state fish hatchery ponds on May 12, 1985.

Least Tern, Sterna antlllarum.
July 29 to September 7 and May 8-26+. Very uncommon transient. Most sightings involve single birds at reservoirs or open ponds. One was at Centerton on June 14, 1986, and five on May 20, 1988.
