Common permanent resident.

Mourning Dove, Zenaida macroura.
Common permanent resident. Mourning Doves nest throughout the region. Flocks begin to form during July, and large flocks that sometimes number more than 100 individuals can be seen in stubble fields and other open fields with waste grain during late summer and fall. A total of 50 birds migrated overhead at Centerton on April 30, 1987.

Inca Dove, Columbina inca.
One bird was found dead at Fayetteville on December 3, 1972.
