Bank Swallow, Riparia riparia.
April 20 to May 30 and August 22 to September 28. Fairly common transient, usually in small numbers. Bank Swallows can be looked for in the mixed species flocks of swallows that forage over open bodies of water during migration. Small, "pure" flocks of 20 or so birds have been observed on several occasions during May as they flew over the open ponds at the state fish hatchery in Centerton. Fifty were counted at Lake Sequoyah on May 18, 1986. This species was reported on the Breeding Bird Survey in Cleburne County in 1975 and 1978.

Barn Swallow, Hirundo rustica.
March 2 to November 13. Common migrant and summer resident. This species nests under bridges, in large highway culverts, in open barns, even on porches of houses in lightly developed areas.

Cliff Swallow, Hirundo pyrrhonota.
March 26 to October 6. Common migrant, locally common summer resident. The species nests throughout the region under bridges where these span fairly large expanses of open water. Nesting also still occurs in traditional situations like bluffs above the White River in the Beaver Lake area. An estimated 50-100 active nests were seen in cliffs above War Eagle Creek north of Huntsville in 1986.
