Magnolia Warbler,Dendroica magnolia.
April 30 to May 29 and September 4-24. Fairly common spring transient, uncommon fall transient.
Mourning Warbler,Oporornis philadelphia.
Late April to May 31 (Smith 1915, Audubon Society file), chiefly during May, and
August 24 to September 28. Regular transient in small numbers in spring, uncommon
transient in fall. In May 1984 one observer found 1-2 birds on five field trips
from May 13 to May 31; three sightings were at Lake Fayetteville, the other at
Baptist Ford south of Fayetteville and at Lake Frances. The birds utilize semi-open
areas with a dense brushy cover of shrubs, bushes, etc.
Nashville Warbler,Vermivora ruficapilla.
April 8 to May 15 and September 9 to November 2. Common transient. As is the case
with Tennessee Warbler, the song of this species seems to literally fill the air
during peak periods of spring migration. Nine were counted in 20 acres of deciduous
forest in Madison County on May 2, 1986.
