Orange-crowned Warbler, Vermivora celata.
April 12 to May 10 and September 4 to November 27+. Regular transient. This species has been found on a number of occasions outside the usual period of migration. Single birds were reported at Fayetteville on December 19, 1981, and January 4, 1986. One was at Gentry on January 2, 1982. Recently one was seen at Lake Fayetteville on March 11, 1986, during the unseasonably warm early spring weather. This species is well-known for its relative "winter hardiness" and therefore is occasionally found on the Fayetteville Christmas Bird Count.

Northern Parula, Parula americana.
March 23 to October 16. Common summer resident in moist forests, especially those in stream bottomlands and in upland ravines.

Palm Warbler, Dendroica palmarum.
Uncommon transient that has been observed in small numbers primarily in spring migration, April 23 to May 12+. In addition, there are records for October 15, 1985; October 13, 1986; January 4 and March 21, 1986; these latter two records probably involved the same bird. During the 1980s, it has been found with fair regularity in brushy fields at Centerton, where four were counted on May 8, 1984. There have been annual reports at Lake Fayetteville since 1984, with birds seen in open brushy fields and in the willow edge along the water.
