Pine Warbler, Dendroica pinus.
Permanent resident in extensive pine forests. It is difficult to find at midwinter in some pine forests in the Arkansas Ozarks, but in the southern part of the region in the Ozark National Forest the birds are rather numerous throughout the year. During the mild winter of 1985-1986 the birds seemed more widespread than usual. It has been found on two recent Fayetteville Christmas Bird Counts in the pines atop South Mountain in Fayetteville.

Prairie Warbler, Dendroica discolor.
April 5 to September 13. Locally common summer resident in overgrown fields with small trees and shrubs. At present time such habitat is available in the Steel Creek area along the Buffalo River, at the Pea Ridge National Military Park, in the Redding area and elsewhere.

Prothonotary Warbler, Protonotaria citrea.
April 5 to September 16. Common summer resident in the larger forested stream bottomlands with swampy overflow areas and along the forested, swampy backwater margins of reservoirs.
