Yellow Warbler, Dendroica petechia.
April 15 to September 24. Common migrant, rare summer resident. Frances James (1974) characterized the preferred nesting habitat of this species in the Arkansas Ozarks as the willows and cottonwoods "fringing open water of gravelbars along rivers, or in the scattered trees and shrubs of small towns." The six birds counted at Fayetteville on May 6, 1984, were part of a migration peak. In late summer and fall of 1985 reports were concentrated during August, with a peak of six birds counted at the state fish hatchery in Benton County on August 31.

Yellow-rumped Warbler, Dendroica coronata.
September 27 to May 23. Common migrant and fairly common to common winter resident. Data compiled on the Fayetteville Christmas Bird Count show considerabe variation in numbers present in late December: highs of 45 and 54 (1971, 1982) contrast with lows of 0 or 1 (1974, 1977, 1979). During migration the birds are widespread, but in winter they seem more concentrated in forests where there are cedars. It is conspicuous in spring migration, from mid - April and thereafter, when the birds have acquired the summer plumage and are singing.

Yellow-throated Warbler, Dendroica dominica.
March 20 to September 29. Common summer resident in larger forested stream bottomlands as well as in stands of mature upland pines. Written documentation was provided for a single bird at Hickory Creek Park on Beaver Lake in Benton County Februrary 1, 1987.
