Research

The Evans-White laboratory currently has three main research focuses.  First, we are examining Ozark stream responses to flooding and drying events within the context of land-use to help us predict how these streams might respond to climate change.  Second, we are studying streams within the Fayetteville Shale to see if sediments or contaminants associated with natural gas well installation and infrastructure impact streams within their watershed.  Third, we are determining how and why phosphorus enrichment alters Ozark stream macroinvertebrate community structure and function.
