Mesa Verde is in southwestern Colorado near Cortez off Hwy 160. About a thousand years ago, the Anasazi built beautiful cliff dwellings that you can tour. Entrance to the park (in Sept. 1997) was $10 (7 days). The tour of either Cliff Palace (these photos) or Far View were $1.35. |
