Driving directions:
Heading north on I55, take Exit 44 (Hwy 181); From the exit go north approximately two miles to the 4-way stop in Keiser. At the 4-way stop, turn right and head east approximately 1 mile to the Center.
Heading south on I55, take Exit 48 (Hwy 140, Osceola exit). From the exit go west on Hwy. 140 approximately 4 miles to the junction with Hwy. 181 (there is a green sign at the junction). Take Hwy. 181 south until you reach the 4-way stop in Keiser. At the 4-way stop, turn left and head east approximately 1 mile to the Center.

NEREC Research Project List and Summaries
The Northeast Research and Extension Center is a specialized, regional center dedicated to the development and transfer of credible, timely and objective information and technology relative to agriculture and rural development in Northeast Arkansas.
In addition to the operation of the research station at Keiser, the center is responsible for operations at the Lon Mann Cotton Research Station at Marianna, the Judd Hill Cooperative Research Station near Trumann, and the Delta Branch Experiment Station at Clarkedale. The center houses resident research and extension faculty and hosts numerous extension activities. Research at each of the stations is coordinated by Program Techs who form liaisons between the project leaders and the stations. The center provides an enriching and satisfying framework for interdisciplinary programs that include partners in industry and government agencies.
The Keiser location includes the center headquarters (established in 1980) and a 750-acre research farm (established in 1957). Research at this location includes work on the major economic crops of the Delta region. Tests of management systems and pest control associated with the production of cotton, soybean, rice, corn and sorghum are conducted annually. Primary research and extension areas of resident faculty include cotton genetics and breeding, crop production systems, insect control and management, and agricultural economics.
