Basic Query Training Scheduled - [11/11/05]
A hands-on training session has been scheduled for university
employees who create reports in ISIS. The session will
be held November 11 from 10:00 until 11:50 a.m. at ADSB
154 and will include an overview of running reports in
ISIS. In addition, participants will create and run basic
queries during the session.

A training session for users who are new to the ISIS system
has been scheduled for November 1 from 10 until 11:50 a.m.
at ADSB 154. ISIS 101-The Basics covers introductory concepts,
navigation and data entry basics to help users gain an
understanding of the ISIS system. In addition, the session
provides an overview of service indicators and the Family
Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).

Undergoes Major Upgrade - [10/13/05]
The first major product upgrade for ISIS, the University
of Arkansas student information system, is now in progress.
Advance planning for the project began in the spring and
it is anticipated that the new version will be on-line
for all users by early summer 2006. One important aspect
the upgrade will provide is an improved self-service function
for UA students and faculty.

The Registrar’s Office has scheduled two
training presentation sessions for faculty and
teaching assistants
who use ISIS.
These training presentations will be held from 10 a.m.
to noon on Tuesday, August 9 and from 2 p.m. to
4 p.m. on Wednesday,
August 17. Both sessions will be held in Mullins 104.

A change has been made in the submission process for ISIS
security forms. Effective immediately, all ISIS security
forms should be faxed to 575-4651 or mailed to ISIS Security,
HUNT 146.

Announces WebCT Training Option - [06/28/05]
A new method of ISIS training is coming to a desktop near you.
Starting Thursday, June 30, eligible ISIS users will be able
to receive specific student records and student financials
training by using the Web-based WebCT course management system.

Staff Members Make Presentations at National Conference -
[03/21/05]
Two University of Arkansas staff members on the ISIS Project are making presentations
this week at the national PeopleSoft Higher Education User Group (HEUG) Conference
in Las Vegas. Karen Jennings, ISIS training coordinator, and Robyn Moore, a
graduate admissions specialist with the Graduate School, are leading sessions
at the largest national conference in HEUG history.

you have missed using the on-line Schedule of Classes that
was a staple during registrations in previous
years,
you are now in luck. A new Spring 2005 Schedule of Classes,
available on the Registrar’s Web site at http://www.uark.edu/registrar/classes/soc.html,
has been created as a complement to the Integrated Student
Information System (ISIS).
