Research Shops & Services is a division of Research and Sponsored Programs that provides scientific services to University faculty, staff, and students. Other University Research Units are also available at the University of Arkansas.
John Pace, a Master Scientific Research Technician / Scientific Glassblower with 24 years experience, is available to fabricate, design and repair a wide variety of glassware for all U of A campuses. Machine ShopDennis Rogers, Master Scientific Research Technician / Machinist is available to design, fabricate and repair a wide variety of wood, plastic and metal parts and equipment. The Central Laboratory Animal Facility is designed to provide animal housing space that is fully compliant with federal regulations and the recommendations found in the NIH Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals. This will assure that researchers, applying for PHS funding, can provide for the proper care and housing for such vertebrate animals as may be used in proposed studies and thus comply with the PHS Policy on Humane Care and Use of Laboratory Animals.

The CLAF is a secured facility available on a "first-come-first served basis" and use must be arranged, according to established procedures, prior to anticipated need, with the Facility Manager.
