K-12 PROGRAMS
Students planning to teach art or music follow programs leading to
certification to teach in all grades_kindergarten through the twelfth
grade. The general studies requirements are the same as those required
in elementary and secondary preparation programs. This program is
undergoing revision.

Middle School Education
The middle level education program is not an approved state
certification area. Students will have one area of specialization for
grades 6-12 and will be required to earn a degree in Fulbright College.
The students must choose one of the following as an area of
special-ization: English/literature, mathematics, science, or social
studies. Students will also have an emphasis in reading.

18-hour Pre-Education Core:

Secondary Schools Program
Students certifying to teach in grades 9-12 will receive a degree from
Fulbright College with specialization in one of the following areas:
biology, chemistry, communication, English, foreign language, geography,
geology, history, journalism, mathematics, physics, political science,
psychology, sociology, speech and drama, or any other appropriate
degree.
Included in the undergraduate degree program will be the following
18-hour Pre-Education Core:

Students with an appropriate baccalaureate degree and upon completion of
the Pre-Education Core may apply to the Master of Arts in Teaching
