3rd Annual

Aging Well

Writing Contest

All full-time faculty, staff, and students of the University of Arkansas are invited to submit original, unpublished creative works on the topic of “Aging Well.”

Cash awards will be given for 1st , 2nd , and 3rd place submissions in the amount of $1,000, $500 and $250, respectively.

Any form of creative writing, including essays, short fiction, poems, and 1-act plays may be submitted for consideration. Manuscripts should be double-spaced, and under 3,000 words using 12-point Times or Times New Roman font. Poetry may be single-spaced. Winners of past contests are not eligible to apply.

Manuscripts must be accompanied by the Author Biography Form

Deadline for Submission: 4:00pm on Friday, October 5, 2007.

Winners will be announced by the end of the Fall 2007 semester and are required to attend a reception in their honor in early December.
