Overview:

This module focuses on the physiological means used by birds to adapt to their environment. Heat production, mechanisms of heat loss, and water balance will all be discussed. In addition to gaining an understanding of how the thermal environment impacts poultry production, an appreciation for basic physiological mechanisms contributes to an understanding of how birds interact with and impact their environment.
