Collections Rehabilitation
In September 2011 we began a multi-year project to reorganize, rebox, and catalogue the collections being held at the Blytheville research station. So far we have completed the reorganizing and reboxing phase of the collections from Crittenden County. Starting in 2012 we will be getting the artifacts logged into a computer database and then starting on the much bigger task of reboxing the Mississippi County collections. It will be great to have a computer database of the artifacts to share so that other researchers will be able to easily find out what we have in our collections and it can be put to good use learning more about America's, and more specifically, Arkansas's, past.

From this.. To this

Small boxes are much easier to handle and fit better on the shelves.
