Check it out! Arkansas Curriculum Conference University Days The University of Arkansas has annually hosted University Day, a program designed to stimulate the science, math, and technology curricula of northwest Arkansas schools. The program was such a success that in 2005 it expanded to two days. During University Days, teachers and students have the opportunity to participate in math, science, and technology laboratory and hands-on activities suitable for use in their own classrooms. The first day is for 4-6 grade students, and the second day for 7-12 grade students. The days are free of charge to all K-12 public, private, and home school teachers and students. Over 30 different classes are offered; subjects include astronomy, dinosaurs and fossils, earth sciences, microscopes, GIS, and archaeology. For more information, see the following www.uark.edu/~k12info/student/UDAY/index.html.
