Louisiana Lagniappe Tournament

University of Arkansas debaters, under the auspices of the Arkansas Union Society, again scored impressive wins in a regional debate tournament. Competition at the Louisiana Lagniappe Tournament hosted by Louisiana State University-Shreveport, held December 3-4, included 22 schools from six states.

Gary Moody and Steve Fox won the Second Place Trophy in Parliamentary Debate, and the team of Andy Long and Bill Horton reached the Quarter-Finals in Parliamentary Debate as the 8th ranked team. Andy Long also reached the finals in Impromptu Speaking and won the Sixth Place Trophy. Jason King placed 19th in the Public Debate competition. Bill Horton was the 10th Ranked Debater on speaker points.
