GROWTH HABIT, RATE:
Dense, regular, narrow pyramid- horizontal branches becoming open with age,
30-60'.
ADAPTABILITY:
Rich, moist soil, full sun. Adaptable, more drought tolerant than other spruces.
FUNCTIONS:
Screen, specimen; over-used in landscape, especially as an accent plant in foundation
plantings.
PROBLEMS AND MAINTENANCE:
Insect and mite infestations, including aphids; may require treatment so not
to reduce symmetry of the plant.
