Virginia Creeper

Flowers: Greenish-yellow in early summer, hidden by foliage, not significant.

Foliage: Dark green in summer, palmately compound, brilliant red fall color, normally colors early.

Fruit: Small, grape-like berries, noticeable after the leaves hae fallen.

 

Location: Best example is on the railroad bridge on Maple St. (west side). This plant is common in alleys surrounding the campus.
