Yellowwood

Flowers: Fragrant, white, in loose hanging clusters in early May. Heaviest flowering occurs every two or three years.

Foliage: Bright green compound leaves, gold to orange in fall.

Fruit: Inconspicuous, flattened pods.

Trunk, Branching, Twigs: Smooth, silvery gray bark.

 

Location: Two plants on the Old Main mall. One is near the west side of Ozark, about halfway down the mall.
