GROWTH HABIT, RATE:
Vase shaped when young, becoming rounded with strongly horizontal branches.
ADAPTABILITY:
Best in acid, well drained sandy soil. Sunny sites.
FUNCTIONS:
Specimen, patio tree, border, accent.
PROBLEMS AND MAINTENANCE:
Resists anthracnose, no serious problems. Somewhat more drought tolerant than
C. florida.
