Questions (and Answers?)

Q. Is our second exam really going to be given next Monday (11/10)? Will it be the same sort of format? If so, where are can we find the list of possible exam questions?

A. Yes. Yes. On the web page. I may add a question or two, but I've got several there.

Q. Is the Final term paper really due on a Sunday (12/7)? If so, can we have your physical address just in case we might be worried that the attachment doesn't go through correctly?

A. Yes and no. Yes, it is really due on a Sunday. No, you can't bring it to my house. The paper is to be turned in electronically. A due date is intended as a "no later than" indicator. It may be turned in before the due date. So if Sunday is a day of rest, you may turn it in on the previous Saturday or Friday or ... You may be worried that an attachment may not go through. That can happen any day of the week. If the uark mail system fails, we'll deal with it. It is wise to "cc" yourself on e-mail submissions so that you have evidence things went through. Some e-mail systems also let you ask for an automatic "receipt." If you are really worried about e-mail not working on a weekend, turn the paper in on the previous Friday.

Q. Are there really not going to be any questions about me on the exam?

Sincerely,
Sarah P.

A. Sarah, while I don't mention you (or anyone else alive today) by name in the questions, yes, there are questions about you. I ask about what rulers should be like (See P-SHEP) and what justice is and what virtue is and what actions are involuntary. I ask about kinds of ignorance. I ask about friendship. All these questions apply to your life.
And if this question really came from Tina Fey and she was just impersonating you, I apologize.
