Correlations with Duties

Positive Rights

X has a positive right to Z from Y
[if and] only if
Y has a duty to provide X with Z.

Negative Rights

X has a negative right to Z from Y
[if and] only if
Y has a duty not to provide X with not-Z.

Liberties

X has a liberty to Z
[if and] only if
X does not have a duty to not do Z.
