- Associate of Science of
Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences Degree

- Students may obtain an associate of science
in agricultural, food and life sciences degree at ACTA community
colleges. ACTA's four-year institutions work with the community
colleges to assure efficient transfers to the senior institutions.

- The 62-hour curriculum toward the ACTA
associate degree features a science-based transfer degree with
enough latitude in coursework to allow students to major in a
variety of fields.

- The degree also includes five credit hours
of orientation and introductory courses in agricultural, food
and life sciences. These courses are shared among ACTA colleges.
The courses are offered with on-campus faculty, compressed interactive
video and the World Wide Web.

- Students who follow the curriculum should
be able to transfer all credits into the majors of their choice
listed under the bachelor of science degree section.

Degree

- ACTA partners also offer a track toward
an associate of applied science degree for career entry after
two years of college. This terminal degree will ground students
in fundamentals of English, math and speech and will prepare
them for careers in technical agriculture upon graduation.
