Joint Annual meeting of ADSA-ASAS to be held July 7-11 in Indianapolis

ANSC department faculty members and graduate assistants will be in attendance at the joint annual meeting of ADSA-ASAS (American Dairy Science Association and American Society of Agricultural Scientists) to be held July 7-11 in Indianapolis.

Tifanie Silver displaying items commemorating the 75th year of SEC Student Athlete Experience. Items include a watch, an Ipod seeker, and a brief case. Tifanie, a native of Texas, is a graduating senior in Animal Science. She is a 4-year scholarship swimmer and team co-captain. She hopes to attend graduate school in the fall.

Rosenkrans receives Gold Medal Award for mentoring

Dr. Charles Rosenkrans, Jr., professor of animal science at the University of Arkansas, received the 2008 faculty Gold Medal Award from the office of Post-Graduate Fellowships. Up to six U of A faculty members -  nominated by honors directors and selected by a committee that includes the Honors College dean and staff members of the post-graduate fellowships office -  are chosen each year for their dedication as mentors to undergraduate students.
