Graduate Admissions

Applicants to the Anthropology graduate program must:

apply and be accepted by the U of A Graduate School;

have at least one undergraduate class in archeology and biological anthropology or take these courses as deficiency courses while in the graduate program;

submit three sealed letters of recommendation from persons who can judge their potential for graduate studies;

send a report of their scores on the Graduate Record Examination (GRE);

submit transcripts from every college they have attended;

indicate their GPA;

submit a writing sample that demonstrates ability to produce original analytic work.

Admissions

All students who are accepted will be assigned to interim faculty advisors who will be responsible for initial advising.
