Lot 16 - 'Elektra'
U. A. Elektra is very gentle and like most warmblood weanlings, she is all legs and ears right now. Look at the pictures of her more mature siblings (click here to see siblings - Tar River Farms) to visualize what she will look like at maturity. If you want a sport horse prospect that will mature well over 16 hh, buy U. A. Elektra. Her full sister, U. A. Dalia, was high selling weanling in 2003. On the top and bottom of her pedigree, this filly is bred to be a winning performance horse. Many dressage, hunter, and jumper champions carry the same genetics as U. A. Elektra.

Well started in-hand, U. A. Elektra stands for clipping and the farrier, she walks on and backs off trailers, she crosses obstacles while carrying a tiny saddle and pony bit.

Elektra's sire, Boeskoolboy, is by Jasper, a leading sire of show jumpers like Crown Royal Legato, an international show jumper and 1996 Olympic Silver Medalianist. Boeskoolboy is out of the ster mare, Marchien, who is dam of the internationally successful show jumpers Zalme and Talisman Girl. After being imported to the U. S., Boeskoolboy successfully competed in jumping and eventing. He scored in the upper 60's and 70's in dressage and had clean jumping rounds in the Virginia Horse Trials. "I have personally foaled out, raised, and trained at least 50 foals by Boeskoolboy. Almost all of them have been easy to train, athletic, and able to perform in a variety of sports and disciplines", N. E. Jack.

Foals of Unfold, Elektra's maternal grand sire, are being shown in hunter jumper futurities and are consistently placing top ten. He is also sire of the 1998 West Coast Hunter Futurity Grand Champion. Unfold is producing consistent quality, athletic ability and excellent dispositions. His offspring have been successful at the racetrack, in the show ring, at events and in the hunt field.
