Hotz has a wonderful disposition. He displays tremendous athletic ability and could easily be trained for rodeo events or barrels, poles, or other speed events. He has a nice soft mouth and is very easy to ride. He is well suited for an experienced youth or intermediate level adult. He does need a confident rider.

Hotz's pedigree is FULL of notable champions. His sire, Zealous, set a new track record at 330 yards with a 16.760 at Ruidoso Downs. His statistics include; earned his racing ROM, Speed Index of 107, 16 starts, 5 wins, 2 places, and 2 shows, total earnings $57,470. Zealous sired foals who earned a total of $103,832.

Zealous' sire, Zevi, was the sire of 50 quarter horse stakes winners, with earnings of over $7 million. A fantastic barrel racing broodmare sire, he is on the top 50 maternal grandsires list of in all ages and all divisions! Zevi sired a total of 1,004 foals, 786 were performance foals, 122 of which were Stakes placing foals.
