COMING EVENTS |

The Spanish Honor Society will hold its annual induction ceremony on April 19th at 6:00 pm. (place to be announced to new members only). A reception will follow the ceremony. Eleven new students will have the honor to be inducted this spring. More information on the National Honor Society www.sigmadeltapi.org
Spanish Language Theater
The Spanish Honor Society is sponsoring a play in Spanish by Chilean playwright Jorge Díaz: El cepillo de dientes / The toothbrush. The piece written in 1966 explores the failure of communication between a married couple. The anecdote transcends a broader conflict that shows the difficulty of language in conveying meaning and the lack of spiritual values in our society. Humor, parody, role-playing, music, violence and verbal abuse are some of the ingredients Díaz uses in this play classified by critics as theater of the absurd.
Performances: April 28th and 29th at the Student Union Theater at 8:00 pm. Admission is free. For more information contact Dr. Reina Ruiz, rruiz@uark.edu
