Classics Major
The college offers a major in classical studies leading to a Bachelor of Arts degree. Students should select appropriate courses from the following:
HONORS
The Honors Program in Classical Studies gives students of high ability the opportunity to strengthen their study of classics by intensifying their experience with ancient languages and cultures. In addition to the requirements for graduation with a major in classical studies and the general college requirements for a B.A. degree, honors candidates in classical studies must:
Successful completion of the requirements will be recognized by the award of the distinction "Classical Studies Scholar Cum Laude" at graduation. Higher degree distinctions are recommended only in truly exceptional cases and are based upon the whole of the candidate's program of honors studies.
