(Licence ès Lettres et Sciences Humaines, Besançon, France, 1974; M.A., University of Arkansas, 1983; D.M.L., Italian and French, Middlebury College, 2002 ). Louise Rozier came to the University of Arkansas in 1984 and is currently Associate Professor of Italian and Section Head. Her research areas are early twentieth-century fiction and translation. She has given papers at national and international conferences and published articles on Paola Masino’s novels. She is the author of Il mito e l’allegoria nella narrativa di Paola Masino (Edward Mellen, 2004), and she was awarded the 1996 PEN Renato Poggioli translation Award for her translation of Fortunato Pasqualino’s The Little Jesus of Sicily (The University of Arkansas Press, 1999). She received the Fulbright College Master Teacher award in 2010
