Extracurricular Activities
The program's extracurricular activities provide a strong sense of community and collegiality. The Spanish Tertulia provides an opportunity for students to practice their language skills in an informal environment; the Cineclub presents Spanish language films from around the world for students to view. Students may also wish to join the Sigma Delta Pi Spanish Honor Society.

Latin American Studies
This outstanding program addresses the need for academic understanding and active cultural engagement with the Latin American world, within Fulbright College as well as across the University and for state and regional communities. They strive to be an innovative interdisciplinary program of nationally and internationally recognized quality.
Comparative Literature
Although the University of Arkansas does not offer a Ph.D. in Spanish, the Comparative Literature program is an excellent path for those seeking doctoral work in two languages.
Other Programs
The Spanish Program also participates in several other programs across campus, including European Studies, International Relations, International Economics and Business, the Honor’s Program, and the Master of Arts in Teaching in the College of Education.
