¿Cómo se dice FUN en español?

This "sitio" or site has been developed not so much to accompany and support the class text, "Buen Viaje", as it has been to augment it by giving insight into mexican culture, with special emphasis on the young folks (los jóvenes), ages fifteen to twenty-two.

Some of the topics we will investigate in this "sitio" are also touched on in the textbook, such as sports, television and cinema. Other topics investigated here, but not in the textbook include, mexican music, books, magazines and newspapers, fiestas and favorite hang-outs. There is, of course a different vocabulary to learn with each topic.

The main topic of the site, diversion or, in Spanish, "la diversión", allows us to visit different places in a city, like cafés, estadios (stadiums), el Zócalo (central plaza), discotecas (dance clubs), or centros comerciales (malls).

Hay muchas palabras en español para describir "enjoyment or having fun": gozar, divertirse, disfrutarse, y la diversión. Vamos a investigar muchas tipos de la diversión.

Como sabes es un tema muy amplio de muchas categorías, pero se enfatizan unas comunes para que vean los alumnos como semejan las dos culturas (norte-americana y mexicana) y que son las diferencias.
