¡Leamos!

It´s likely that more students are exposed to the artes than the deportes because art classes are offered as talleres (electives) in the Mexican school system. Of course, art classes vary from one school to the other. However, most students mentioned clase de teatro, clases de música such as piano, guitarra, and flauta, dibujo, and baile (moderno y tradicional).

Naturally schools like to show off their students' talents in obras de teatro and student performances during ceremonies. These events are held in the afternoons or evenings. Some schools have an auditorium for this purpose, but many rent a local auditorium or hall. The parents and relatives of the students are usually invited.
