Greetings from the Dean
For our students to compete in the world marketplace, we must provide them with an understanding of different cultures and societies and an international perspective on the agricultural, food and life sciences. Our Global Studies Program provides students these opportunities through international placements, internships, research and study-abroad opportunities throughout Europe, Australia and Central America.
In six short years, we have placed almost 200 students in 18 countries. For example, poultry science students have studied in Australia, Mexico and Spain; horticulture students have earned experiences in Scotland, Switzerland and Costa Rica; and interior design and apparel studies students have traveled to France, Greece, Italy and Scotland.
Our Global Studies Program prepares students to live and work in a global environment. It enriches their education and expands their career options. These study-abroad and international experiences help to prepare our students for full participation in tomorrow's global society.
