Raymond Barclay, Ed.D. -- Director

 

Raymond Barclay is director of the Global Studies Program for the University of Arkansas, Dale Bumpers College of Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences. He has offices in Edinburgh, Scotland and in Fayetteville. He is responsible for coordinating and managing international study and research opportunities for students and faculty. These include internships, study abroad programs, study tours, collaborative research, visiting professorships, teaching and research exchanges. 

Dr. Barclay secures grants, scholarships and endowments, advises students on the minor in Global Agriclture and serves as program speaker for academic departments, student clubs and civic groups. He also assists with student recruitment in Europe and works closely with universities and agencies in the UK and throughout Europe. He is a member of the American-European Community Association in Brussels, Belgium.

Dr. Barclay has served as a UK-US Fulbright Fellow, reviewed agricultural communications and technology transfer programs in Bolivia, Ireland and Scotland and has conducted invited lectures and communications workshops in England, Italy, Romania and Scotland.


Dave Edmark -- GSP Web Editor

 

Dave Edmark is a project/program director in the Communication Services Unit of Bumpers College as well as the communications director of the Food Safety Consortium based at the UA. In addition to maintaining the Global Studies Program web site, he has participated in the progam's activities by joining the May 2005 tour of Scotland to write articles about the students' work that later appeared in news releases and college publications.

 

 


Nanci Murray Kellams -- GSP Accountant

Nanci Murray Kellamsis the accountant for the Global Studies Program and several other departments in the Bumpers College for Agricultural, Food and Life Sciences. She also serves as the assistant fiscal operations manager for the Agricultural Experiment Station Business Office. Ms. Kellams holds a BA in Accounting from Hendrix College and the MBA from the University of Arkansas.
