Present System of Verbs
Present System:
- The tenses of the present system employ the same active and
passive personal endings to indicate: PERSON, NUMBER, and VOICE.

- TENSE is indicated by tense markers for the future [-bo/bi/bu-
or -a/e-] and imperfect [-ba-].
- MOOD is indicated by a shift in the stem. Nota bene: there is no future
subjunctive.
- All tenses of the present system denote action that is continuous.
Tenses of the Present System:
- FUTURE: refers to what has not yet
happened.
- PRESENT: refers to current action.
- IMPERFECT: refers to action which
was ongoing (incomplete; im-perfectum) in the past.
