A History of Physics at the University of Arkansas
1872 - 1995
In the early 1990's the late Professor Paul Sharrah undertook the monumental task of recording the history of the Department. He was uniquely qualified for this task because he had witnessed first-hand the events unfold before him for over half-a-century, and he had heard the first-hand accounts of the events before 1942 from his former colleagues. Five years of concentrated effort resulted in the publication of this book in 1996, just a few weeks before his death.
An updated version of the history covering the first one hundred years is planned for the future.
