Dr. Jeff Ryan
Associate Professor
Jeffrey J. Ryan (B.A., Colorado State University, 1983; M.A., Rice University, 1987; Ph.D., Rice University, 1989) is an associate professor of Comparative Politics and Latin American studies. In 1996 he received the Fulbright College Master Teacher Award. He has presented research at numerous national and international conferences, including invited presentations in Cuba, Venezuela and Argentina. Ryan has published articles in Comparative Politics, Party Politics, Public Administration Review and PS: Political Science & Politics. His current research interests focus on neoliberalism and democratization in Latin America and on the impact of decentralization on political stability in Costa Rica.
