Dr. Bill Schreckhise
Associate Professor and Advisor of Legal Studies
William D. Schreckhise (B.A., Washington State University, 1991; M.A., Washington State University, 1994; Ph.D., Washington State University, 1999) is an associate professor. He has published studies on racial composition and juror selection, minorities and environmental policy formulation, and the formation of environmental interest groups. Schreckhise has published articles in Social Science Quarterly, State and Local Government Review, American Review of Politics, Public Integrity Public Administration Quarterly, International Journal of Public Administration, and Midsouth Political Science Review, along with several chapters in edited volumes.
His areas of expertise lie broadly in U.S. public policy, U.S. constitutional law, administrative law, and public administration. He is currently writing a book titled American Democracy: An Assessment which examines the ability of the U.S. political system to make good public policy. Dr. Schreckhise is the Legal Studies advisor, chair of the technology committee, and the Faculty advisor for University of Arkansas Prelaw Society and the UA Chapter of Young Democrats.
