Dr. Patrick Stewart
Patrick A. Stewart (B.A., University of Central Florida, 1988, M.A. University of Central Florida, 1991, Ph.D. Northern Illinois University, 1998) is an assistant professor, coming to the University of Arkansas in 2008. He previously served as Director of the Masters of Public Administration Program (MPA), and Co-Director of the Center for Social Research (CSR) at Arkansas State University where he was an associate professor. During his matriculation at NIU, he worked at American Farmland Trust’s Center for Agriculture in the Environment. He was selected the Jonesboro Sun’s 2007 Local Favorite Award: Professor Category and won the Arkansas State University Board of Trustees 2006-07 Faculty Award for Research/Scholarship. He has published over twenty chapters and articles in such journals as American Review of Public Administration, Review of Policy Research, Harvard International Journal of Press/Politics, Political Psychology, and Technological Forecasting and Social Change. His current research concerns the regulation of plant made pharmaceuticals and industrial products and ethological analysis of Presidential candidates and their use of humor during debates.
