SEVENTH ANNUAL CAMP COMPASSION 2007

 

Camp Compassion is a one day grief camp for children, 6-15, who have experienced the recent death of a loved one.

We are seeking adventurous, fun-loving individuals to join our team of volunteers.  We have a great need for camp

volunteers to help insure a successful camp, and WE NEED YOUR HELP.

Volunteer opportunities include:

·           Assistant Counselors

·          Support Staff

·          Activity Volunteers

MENTORING OPPORTUNITIES WITH KIDS

 

Have a lasting impact on the life of a child!!!

 

Mentors are proven effective in making a positive lasting impression on the lives of children.

 

CONNECTIONS is a school-based mentoring program where mentors will be assigned to a minimum of one student in 3rd through 5th grades. Mentors will meet with students (during the school day) for 30 minutes a week throughout the entire school year. TEACH FOR AMERICA

 

Regan Gruber, a UofA and Teach for Americal is now

at UALR Law School. She will be visiting campus on

Wednesday, September 5, and will be available to talk with

anyone interested in Teach for America.

 

I am not sure when she will be on campus, or where, but when

I have more information I will send it out in the RAG. If

you are even thinking about teaching or Teach for America,
