Workplace Supports via Job Coaching
Key Contact: Douglas Watson, Ph.D. or Amy Hebert
The purpose of this study will focus on the efficacy of the job coach approach as applied with persons who are deaf or hard of hearing. The goal of the project is to identify the key components of job coaching models, to evaluate their efficacy, and to disseminate these components to other programs in order to enhance employment outcomes. While the project will focus on the population of persons who are deaf or hard of hearing who desire and need job coaching, it is hypothesized that this approach will be especially relevant for individuals who have been described as low functioning. The exploratory study will address the following key questions.
