Caleb Rose - Been Around, Learned A Lot

Caleb Rose is a native of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and comes to the University of Arkansas from a variety of places. After leaving the nest, moving south to Greenville, North Carolina to enroll in college, he was awarded a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from East Carolina University in 2000.

From the Carolina’s, Caleb moved northward to Huntington, West Virginia where he enrolled at Marshall University. While a student in Marshal University’s Master’s program in Clinical Psychology, he accepted a graduate assistantship at the University’s Academic Support Center working as an academic advisor and coordinator of the peer tutoring program. Concurrently, Mr. Rose accepted a part-time faculty position teaching Introductory Psychology courses at the University. He was actively involved in psychological research, studying vulnerabilities to anxiety disorders in rural populations. This research resulted in a university-published master’s thesis reporting his findings. In 2004, He was awarded a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology.

Upon graduation from Marshall University, Caleb accepted a position with the federally funded Student Support Services program at the University of Arkansas. Incorporating his academic advising and tutorial experience, he began working for SSS in August, 2004 filling the role of Student Development Specialist and Tutor Coordinator (SDS/TC).

Caleb is pursuing his Doctor of Education degree in Higher Education at the University of Arkansas and has aspirations to become a Dean of Student Affairs or work in the upper echelon of university administration. He is an active member of the American Psychological Association (APA), the Southwestern Association of Student Assistance Programs (SWASAP), and the Arkansas Association for Student Assistance Programs (AASAP).
