Secondary Spores

When the primary spores land on an aphid, leaf or other substrate, they germinate forming long stalks called capilliconidiophores, on which the secondary spores develop. The secondary spores now contain all of the cell contents and have a very sticky apex which adheres to the integument of passing aphids, penetrate the integument, and infect the aphids.
